DESCRIPTION AND EXPECTATIONS OF COACHING:

Coaching is partnership (defined as an alliance, not a legal business partnership) between the Coach and the Client in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize personal and professional potential. It is designed to facilitate the creation/development of personal, professional or business goals and to develop and carry out a strategy/plan for achieving those goals.

Coaching is an ongoing relationship between the coach and the client. Through this relationship, the opportunity for success for the coaching client dramatically increases because changing habits and creating possibilities is a process. It is the Coaching structure that facilitates the process of personal, professional and/or spiritual development. The Client and the Coach agree that the coaching relationship will be designed together.

Client is solely responsible for creating and implementing his/her own physical, mental and emotional well-being, decisions, choices, actions and results arising out of or resulting from the coaching relationship and his/her coaching calls and interactions with the Coach. As such, the Client agrees that the Coach is not and will not be liable or responsible for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided by the Coach. Client understands coaching is not therapy and does not substitute for therapy if needed, and does not prevent, cure, or treat any mental disorder or medical disease.

Coaching is for individuals who are emotionally and psychologically healthy and who want to make changes and move forward in their lives.

Client further acknowledges that he/she may terminate or discontinue the coaching relationship at any time.

Client acknowledges that coaching is a comprehensive process that may involve different areas of his or her life, including work, finances, health, relationships, education and recreation. The Client agrees that deciding how to handle these issues, incorporate coaching principles into those areas and implementing choices is exclusively the Client’s responsibility.

Client acknowledges that coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders as defined by the Psychiatric Associations and that coaching is not to be used as a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, or other professional advice by legal, medical or other qualified professionals and that it is the Client’s exclusive responsibility to seek such independent professional guidance as needed. If Client is currently under the care of a mental health professional, it is recommended that the Client promptly inform the mental health care provider of the nature and extent of the coaching relationship agreed upon by the Client and the Coach.

The Client understands that in order to enhance the coaching relationship, the Client agrees to communicate honestly, be open to feedback and assistance and to create the time and energy to participate fully in the program.

Each individual responds and get involved differently so I do my best to support you in the process and I start from the assumption that you will do your best as well. There are no guarantees that any of these courses of action will solve your issues. It is my intention to help you to help yourself, by facilitating a thorough conversation and helping you to empower yourself to find the appropriate solutions. I will make no promises that I can help you, however, I can promise to do my best to help you.

In my experience, a solution focused approach has a multitude of beneficial effects; however, it isn’t a substitute for proper medical attention in case is needed. The material made available on this website is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or protect against any disease or illness. When dealing with physical and/or mental illness or disease, always seek the advice of a qualified doctor.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:

The Coach is completing ongoing skill development and may share the Client’s contact details for the purposes of ICF (International Coaching Federation) accreditation. Contact details will be limited to name, phone and email address to allow ICF to verify coaching if required.

COACHING SESSION AGREEMENT:

Coaching sessions may be conducted by face to face meetings, but due to distance and time considerations may also be conducted by vide conference/webinar/telephone.
When utilizing means other than face to face the Client agrees to call the Coach, at the scheduled appointment time upon the agreed number. The Coach and client commit to start and finish each session on time. If the client is more than 10 minutes late for a coaching session, the Coach will assume the session is cancelled and the client will forfeit the session fee.

The Client has available to them the services of the Coach for the entire appointment time. During that time, the Client identifies the area of coaching required and a dynamic coaching process ensues. A dynamic coaching session can cover many areas of the client’s life, it is agreed that investigation of these areas adds to the overall quality of coaching. The Coach agrees to inform the client when they perceive a change in coaching direction has taken place or is necessary. The Coach will maintain a high level of communication regarding the coaching process, during the session.

Rescheduling a coaching session is easily done with appropriate notice. Please allow for at least 24 hours’ notice for appointment changes.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

My cancellation policy requires 24 hours’ notice of cancellation via telephone, text or email. I reserve the right to charge the full fee if 24 hours’ notice is not given.

ARRIVING LATE FOR AN APPOINTMENT:

If you are running late, please let me know as soon as possible. I will do my best to make a full session available, but this often depends on appointments subsequent to your booking and so cannot be guaranteed.

FEES AND CHARGES:

All coaching sessions will be timed at 1 hour or any combination of these based on the agreement between The Coach and The Client. Fees will be charged prior to the session and invoiced separately. Payment on invoice may be accepted by negotiation. When being coached under a program it is the program fees that apply. Program fees are payable before the start of the program unless by individual negotiation. Program fees will not be refunded, but held for the client to reinstate their coaching program within a reasonable and mutually agreeable time (no more than 6 months since the service have been contracted).
